Service hall

Service Hall at Oakfield Gardens
Reverse view of the Service Hall at Oakfield Gardens

The Service Hall offers seating for up to 120 people.

Comfortable sofas on the front two rows of each side of the service hall are provided for the immediate family, otherwise there are comfortable chairs throughout.

Two screens are located at the front of the service hall and can show a photo throughout the service and/or a visual tribute. Please see the audio visual options page for further details.

As the service hall is secular, we do not provide hymn/service books. Most families provide an order of service. The words to most popular hymns can be displayed on the screens and families should speak to their funeral arranger to ensure the correct version of a hymn is selected.

Accessibility

We can adapt the seating in the service hall for wheelchair users. This includes the removal of a sofa for an immediate family member or chairs for other mourners.

There are no steps anywhere at Oakfield gardens however, there is a slightly raised threshold into the lobby and a ramp is available to wheelchair users when required. We have a wheelchair on site which can be booked in advance by contacting the office.

The service hall is fitted with a hearing loop.

We have 10 accessible parking spaces including two with EV chargers.

Waiting room and toilets

Office

Oakfield Gardens Crematorium approach

The office is located on the very left of the main building (as you look at it from outside the Service Hall). We have a consultation room for those needing pre-funeral advice, families collecting their loved ones cremated remains or for memorial planning. We recommend that families call the office in advance to book an appointment however, in most cases we can see people who have not made an appointment. Office opening times.
